JOB TITLE: HOUSING OFFICER
RESPONSIBLE TO: Housing Manager
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Working as part of the Housing Team, the role
involves providing a professional housing management and property
maintenance service for all **Apply on the website** Sonas locations
across the Greater Dublin Region, in accordance with the
organisation?s policies and procedures. In addition, support the
Health and Safety Coordinator.
HOURS: Five days per week, **Apply on the website** hours per week.
Flexibility will be required as in this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
HOUSING AND PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
* Providing a professional housing management service covering all
aspects of housing and property management issues, including repair
and maintenance programmes, property inspections, managing
tenant/landlord relationships and dealing with breaches of tenancy
* Coordinating the re-letting process including void turnaround,
move in, and move out of tenants to ensure short turnarounds
* Sourcing and managing contractors, ensuring value for money at all
times, inspecting their work and ensuring all appropriate
documentation is provided
* Coordinate the Maintenance Officer and CE Workers
* Keep the housing management database (Salesforce) up to date and
provide information and reports
RENTS
* Rent collection, monitoring and management
* Arrears control and maximising income
REGULATORY COMPLIANCE
* Assist the Housing function to ensure compliance with all relevant
regulations
HEALTH & SAFETY (H&S)
* Assist with implementation of H&S plan
* Attend quarterly H&S Management Team meetings
* Conduct H&S inspections
HOUSING OFFICER PERSON SPECIFICATION
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum of 3 years? experience of working in housing and property
management, preferably social housing but not essential for the
position
* Working knowledge of regulatory compliance in social housing
* Working knowledge in a H&S role in housing and property management
* Experience of working with IT database to include input,
monitoring and analysis of data Working knowledge of using Salesforce
or other databases desirable but not essential
* Excellent problem solving skills and risk management
* Working knowledge of housing law and tenancy/ licence agreements
* Good understanding of buildings and systems (including heating,
plumbing, etc.) and specifications of work to carry out repairs and
maintenance works
* Excellent interpersonal and organisation skills
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; a
Self-starter with initiative
* A clear understanding of the issues facing women and children
experiencing domestic violence
* Full/clean valid driving licence & ability to travel efficiently
to various locations across the Greater Dublin Region
